Learn the art of needle felting and make a cute, weird, and stranger than strange creature in this super fun workshop. Class will focus on the basics of felting, as artist and designer Andrew Bayer guides students through the process of transforming loose wool fibers into a solid, cohesive object. After practicing the foundational techniques of creating a felted base, the class will explore how to create textures, shapes and structures using the modern method of needle felting to create a unique soft creature.
Natural wool and other fibers will be provided. Students will go home with the piece they create in class, as well as a tool set that includes a felting needle, needle handle and foam. Bring a pal and make with us!
