Camp Description: In this class, students will learn several crochet skills (magic ring, chaining, double crochet, single crochet), and the necessary skills to create a crocheted bandana. The course will allow students to pick a color of their choosing, and create a bandana out of it. By the end of the class, students should walk away with their handmade bandana, as well as the skills needed to become a more advanced crocheter. It will feature both hands on instruction and help as needed, and additionally premade videos as learning crochet could be difficult as a group.
Teens who participate in our three-day textiles series will have the opportunity to produce video content for the betterment of our tutorial world.
About our Intern: Simone Dayton is a California based artist and high school student. She loves being creative, whether it’s drawing, writing, or crocheting. She is very excited to combine her passion for the arts with her passion for working with kids at Oil and Cotton.
