March 2 Watercolor: Exploring Landscapes
Watercolor: Exploring Landscapes

In this friendly beginner workshop students will look at landscape paintings by great artists like Georgia O'Keeffe, Milton Avery and David Hockney. From there we will learn to observe and break down the artist's work and make our own studies. Our workshop begins with an introduction to basic watercolor vocabulary and techniques. Students will learn to make simple compositional underdrawings, how to lay down background washes, and finish the with glazing details. Watercolor paper will be provided. Students can use studio brushes and paints, but we recommend purchasing your own (see below).
We recommend that you purchase:
-round brush #16 Princeton Heritage brush
-a set of watercolors
