Watercolor: Botanicals Sunday, March 22, 12-3pm Instructor: Brie Milam
This class teaches the foundational skills of botanical illustration using watercolor. Students will learn how to observe, draw, and paint realistic plants with attention to detail. We will cover sketching, color mixing, transparent layering, line work, and brush control. This class is ideal for anyone interested in combining scientific observation with artistic technique. No prior experience required. All levels welcome! Materials provided.
Brie Milam is a watercolor and abstract artist creating illustrative pieces from her home studio in Dallas, Texas. Her work is filled with expressive and minimalist pieces, drawing inspiration from nature and her inner world. Much of her work centers around mental health, empowerment and mindfulness. Her watercolor workshops focus on learning not only new painting techniques but also enjoying watercolor as a form of mindfulness.
