Instructor: Taylor Evans of Candle Ghoul
Learn the basics of container candlemaking in this hands-on creative workshop! Using soy and coconut wax as well as a selection of dyes and fragrances, participants will craft two handmade candles! . A wide array of vintage, thrifted, and reclaimed vessels will be provided so participants can find something that speaks to them. Taylor will demonstrate how to melt wax using a table top wax melter, discuss the differences between paraffin and soy/coconut waxes and demystify how to choose and attach wicks. Students will learn how to combine fragrances and mix dyes to build color and create the perfect candle. Leave the workshop with a foundational knowledge of candle making, two dreamy candles and a candle care sheet. All materials included. No experience necessary.
Instructor Bio:
Taylor Evans has been making candles under the name Candle Ghoul for 6 years and teaching workshops for 4 years. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in economics in 2016. She lives in Lower Greenville with her cute pets.
