Get started learning the piano in a fun, supportive group lesson. Geared for eager beginners, we will explore the keyboard while learning left from right, higher from lower, loud versus soft, all through posture and hand position. Group lessons encourage collaboration, listening, and coordination. Dynamics, tempo, touch, and expression are the natural outgrowths of playing together.
Instructor Kayli House has been teaching group and private lessons since 1996. She holds a Master of Music in Composition and is co-owner of Oil and Cotton. In addition to visual arts curricula, she has developed music and piano programs from preschool to high school, as well as for adults. Her approach to piano teaching is individualistic and focused on the personal expression of wordless feelings.
