One-Day Portrait in Oil

Supply fee includes:
- 9x12 canvas or canvas board
- use of studio brushes, palette, paint, solvent
Additional brushes and supplies can be purchased in our student outlet store or at Dallas Art Supply at 10% off.
DESCRIPTION
In this one day workshop, students will be capturing the portrait in the alla prima method. Working from a photo reference, we will do a painting from sketch to completion. Artist and teacher Barbara Hack will demonstrate while guiding you to build the image with direct brushstrokes and color. All levels welcome. Supplies provided, but feel free to bring your own brushes or purchase from the recommended products linked below.
Students will have an opportunity to break for a short lunch.
