Intro to Stained Glass

In this relaxed beginner workshop students will learn about all of the techniques that go into stained glass. Students will learn how arrange a balanced composition, copper foil, and solder a unique honeycomb sun catcher. These incredible works offer endless color combinations and change throughout the day as natural light is picked up differently thru the glass.
Kit includes:
- Pre-cut glass shapes
- Copper foil
- Solder
- Chain
*We use lead materials in our stained glass projects. Safety is our priority, and we follow strict safety measures. This does include the use of protective equipment and providing a washing station at the end of all classes. If you are pregnant, nursing, or have health concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before participating in this stained glass workshop.
Instructor Bio:
Hi! My name is Jordan Taub. I am a Texas native and have been a teacher and advocate of the visual arts for over 20 years. I have served as a public school art educator, taught many mediums at a local art studio, and now own a local glass studio. Focusing on teaching the mediums of stained glass and kiln formed art glass. Arts education and arts advocacy are my purpose. I believe in authentically connecting with the community and nurturing creative expression. Art truly is everywhere, and my goal is to inspire exploration and investigation in the studio.
