Camp Description:
The Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, is a joyful, colorful festival from Mexico that honors family members and friends who have passed away. It is celebrated from October 31st to November 2nd, and it is a happy time of remembering. Student will learn to draw acalavera de azúcar and make sugar skull prints inspired by papel picado.
Students will leave with an understanding of:
-color registration in print making
-how to print multiples
-the power of positive and negative space.
