In this friendly beginner workshop Oil and Cotton introduces students to the world of natural dyes through INDIGO blue! Class starts with an overview of making a dye vat. Students will learn to create patterns with traditional Japanese resist dye techniques known as shibori. Students will leave with their choice of two bandanas/napkins or one organic cotton flour sack tea towel with the option to purchase additional dyeables and take home dye kits in our shop.
Workshops are fun, easy, and a great way to meet new friends. Bring your own beverage or some potluck to share.
