DESCRIPTION
The Creative Design Process:

Unlock your creative voice and master the art of design. This immersive, hands-on workshop takes you beyond the screen to rediscover the tactile joy of the design process. Designed for adults looking to build a cohesive aesthetic language, this course focuses on observation, intentional curation, and narrative storytelling. Supplies provided, but additional supplies can be purchased through Dallas Art Supply. Suggested additional supplies will be sent upon registration.

What You Will Explore:
-The Art of Seeing (Ideation): Train your eye to find design inspiration in nature, architecture, art, and everyday life through sensory-focused discovery. Learn to observe like a designer by noticing patterns, emotions, details, and unexpected connections that most people overlook.

-Visual Vocabulary (Moodboarding): Learn the "quality over quantity" approach to curation, mastering color, texture, and form to create boards that communicate a clear, professional vision.

-The Creative Diary (Sketchbook Process): Develop your sketchbook as a "working brain" to capture raw movement, volume, and structure, using cross-pollination techniques to bridge fashion and interior design.

This course is ideal for individuals interested in interior or fashion design, as well as creative professionals seeking a refreshing perspective on their artistic process.

Noha Kamel Bio:
With over 15 years of experience across fashion and design, I work as a multidisciplinary creative consultant and designer. Early in my career, my graduate work was awarded "Best Fashion Collection," laying the groundwork for features in British Vogue and a designation as a Black Sheep Designer by Not Just A Label (NJAL). For my family, Oil & Cotton has been a creative sanctuary since 2022. There is no better place to begin as I step into this next chapter and re-enter the industry.

Limited-enrollment weekly series with no makeups or credit for missed weeks. You may attend our Wednesday night weekly adult drawing to make up the time lost in the studio. Please read our cancellation policy.
