EVENT DESCRIPTION
Learn the art of block printing and surface design to create your very own matching set of seasonal cards, wrapping paper and gift tags. You will learn how to carve a stamp using radial design, then lay out a design with a repeat pattern and a limited palette to create consistent visual impact.

INSTRUCTOR BIO
Kenya Diaz was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She is passionate about sharing her love for art and teaches at Oil and Cotton Art Studio as well as leads community engagements at Dallas and Fort Worth museums and cultural centers. Her collaged images, paintings, and small sculptures are inspired by family stories and her upbringing as a first-generation, Mexican-American. Diaz references everyday objects and symbols to explore ideas of identity, resourcefulness, family, and community.
