Kitchen Dyes: Painting with Wool Date: Sunday, August 2, 12-4pm Instructor: Emily Riggert Dutcher
Beginning and experienced natural dyers will be introduced to the dye potential of items found in your kitchen and farmers market. Students will learn how to make a dye vat at home, use non-toxic mordants on wool and how to shift colors. By the end of this workshop, students will feel confident with the process of natural dyeing, leaving with informative kitchen recipe cards, samples, and a beautiful hand dyed fabric collage to hang in your home.
